In my last issue, we covered the barriers holding CEOs back from “creating”. Those are:
❌ lack of bandwidth (time)
❌ lack of platform knowledge (discomfort)
❌ inadequate resources or internal support (no dedicated staff)
Today, I want to talk about the super simple straight forward strategy that I like to call…
POST WHERE YOU ARE.
If you are like most of my clients, you’re juggling a busy schedule that has you here, there and everywhere. Whether you travel for work or work from home, you’re somewhere every day doing something.
Can you carve out a tiny bit of time — daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly — to share a picture and a paragraph with your network?
This strategy works for LinkedIn. It works for Instagram. It works for most busy, multitaskers, like you and me.
Here’s how it’s done.
Look at your calendar. Where are you going to be this week? Block out 15-30 minutes for your content creation. Add it as a meeting in your phone. Wherever you are in that 30-minute time block, build that post.
✅ If you’re in the airport, tell your network where you’re going and why.
✅ If you’re heading into a conference, share a photo of yourself at the entrance, and explain the significance of this event.
✅ If you’re working from home with your dog at your feet, go ahead, share that photo with a bit about what you’re working on this week.
Think: A little bit of convenience… a little bit of storytelling.
Live example of this strategy in action:
Lauren Hobart is the CEO of Dick’s Sporting Goods. She posts images of her team in the field on the regular. Check out the engagement she gets from her network! Lauren is doing the thing… Her strategy is simple and effective.
Posting where you are can slowly and effectively build your content creator muscles, and trust me, if you get in the routine of sharing commentary from where you are in the world and why it’s significant, you’ll be on your way to becoming a Creator CEO.
Can you dig it?
If you’d like to learn more about how we turn CEOs and execs into creators (and sometimes published authors!), I invite you to book a consult. It would be my honor to support you.

Hot 🔥 Opp: Inc Female Founders 500
Each year, Inc.com puts out their list of the top 500 Female Founders. In their view, the women on this list have the grit and poise necessary to make it in entrepreneurship and beyond. Past honorees have included Billie Jean King, Sallie Krawcheck, Serena Williams, Emma Grede, and Michelle Zatlyn.

The thing is though, that most women who make this list don’t have names that you’d recognize, and that’s why we love this list. Unlike so many other “awards”, this one comes with an added boost of promotion from Inc… and that spells credibility and opportunity.
The Inc Female Founders 500 application is open now through December 12.
