The power of virtual impressions and CES 2025 keynote rundown

This year, six of eleven keynotes at CES are being delivered by women. Yes that's 55%.

This week, we are giving a preview of the keynotes happening at CES 2025, January 7-10 in Las Vegas. Thank you for being a valued subscriber of WINS List.

Don’t underestimate the power of a (well-timed) virtual impression.

This year, as in all years, CES will host some heavy hitters in their keynote lineup. If you’re like me — a suburban mom slash business owner struggling with daily logistics — you’re probably not going to this annual trade event for the tech industry.

Truth be what it is, I do want to make a quick point here on how you can, in instances like this one, make an impression on the people you wish you could meet in person. Of course, I’m going to direct your attention to LinkedIn on this one.

Whether you’re attending a live event like CES or not, you have the opportunity to make a virtual impression on LinkedIn with folks you’d like to meet by:

  • following them or requesting a connection (always send a personal note)

  • sending them a thoughtful direct message (if they’re delivering a keynote, perhaps you say congratulations)

  • engaging with their posts before, during and after the event (a simple like can go a long way… a comment can have a much greater impact)

This sounds simple and it is. I talked about the power of generous engagement in this post and the same rules apply here. Doing the extras can really have an impact, and a virtual impression can lead to a longterm business relationship. Trust me!

Expand your influence. Build your wealth. Celebrate your success.
