Who are you creating content for and why?

Every so often, it’s a good practice to refocus your content creation efforts and make sure you’re still on track with your goals.

As a small business owner, executive or professional, it can be easy to slip into the ‘posting-for-posting’s-sake’ trap.

Whether you are an avid or casual content creator, I challenge you to think about these two questions:

  • Who are you trying to reach with your content?

  • Why do you want to reach them in the first place?

All of your content (well, most of it) should be anchored in the who and the why.

Who is your target reader or viewer? Is your content relevant or interesting to them?

What is your why? Is your content aligned?

Whatever your unique goals are, take some time every so often to make sure you’re still hitting the mark and gaining traction with your target audience.
